In 2006, Blue Ridge Community & Technical College separated from Shepherd University and underwent a name change. This necessitated a new website, with changes in design and function. The new website allows multiple people to edit and maintain the website while maintaining a consistent feel throughout. Each department or group has a set of pages and templates it controls, and each group has its own separate login and permissions. BTS initially hosted the website until the IT Department took over management of the website in-house.
